Casa Zala is a boutique bed & breakfast in El Paredón, Guatemala. We’re seeking a bilingual (Spanish & English), responsible, and self-motivated live-in manager to oversee daily operations, lead a small team, and offer a warm, professional presence to our guests.

About the Role
This is a live-in position with a monthly salary, on-site accommodation (queen bed, A/C, private bathroom, private kitchen & garden), utilities, and daily breakfast. Some days are relaxed; others can be full-on - flexibility, calm leadership, and a can-do spirit are key.

Main Responsibilities

• Oversee daily hotel operations, including housekeeping, reception & maintenance

• Supervise and support our team (3 cleaners, 1 gardener)

• Be available to support guests with check-outs, payments, tour and transport bookings, surf rentals, and any questions or requests.

• Communicate with guests across platforms (WhatsApp, Airbnb, Booking.com, etc.)

• Ensure cleanliness and readiness of rooms

• Keep inventory stocked and reservations updated (Cloudbeds software)

• Be available out of hours for any guest or property emergencies

• Care for our friendly resident cat, Rayo

What We’re Looking For

• Fluent in English and Spanish

• Hospitality experience preferred

• Organised, reliable, and great with people

• Confident working independently—owners are off-site

• Flexible with working hours, including weekends & holidays
